This cable kit comes with everything you need to deploy your Polycom IP 300 and IP 500 phones via Cisco power over ethernet (PoE).
Included is a PoE adapter cable terminating in an RJ45 socket, and a matching ethernet patch cable to extend the reach of your phone.
The patch cable can be replaced with a standard ethernet patch cable of any length within the distance limitations of ethernet communications.
It is important to note that this cable is not required for operation of the phone with it's included power supply (112 volt), nor is this cable required by Polycom SoundPoint IP 600 or 601 phones for power over ethernet. The IP 600 and IP 601 phones both have built in support for power over ethernet.
